Hello everyone. I've been using the X-SPDIF 3 for a few days now and have run into a couple issues. Please bear in mind that I'm quite new to audio technology so the more you can dumb your answers down the better.
1) When the device is connected to my computer, I'm still getting quite a few popping/crackling sounds during music playback. I'm not sure if this is related to buffer/sampling settings with the drivers or it's an intrinsic motherboard USB audio problem (or something else). This does not happen when the device is connected to my phone. Any advice on how to troubleshoot this would be appreciated.
2) I would like to connect the device directly to my amplifier using an HDMI cable, without a DAC in between. So far I am not getting any playback at all with this setup (completely silent), and I have tried all the different HDMI pin configurations. This does not happen when using a coaxial connection to the amplifier. Do I need a different kind of HDMI cable?
