As a digital audio transport, the element S does not come with a built-in DAC. Therefore, when playing MQA content, the ability to fully unfold the MQA content depends on whether your DAC is an MQA full decoder.
If your DAC is connected to element S via a USB port and operates as an MQA full decoder in USB input mode, the MQA content can be fully unfolded.
Similarly, if your DAC is connected to element S via an S/PDIF interface and works as an MQA full decoder in S/PDIF input mode, the MQA content can also be fully unfolded.
