element x2 pure sample rate problem
#1
Hi.  I notised when I was streaming( Tidal) that I dont get the correct sample rate in the display.  It allways say FLAC 44,1Khz/16bit even when I play 192Khz 24bit. My other player (NAD M33) shows the correct sample rate.  I have the higest audio settings in MA-player app and even tryed with a cable to the router.  My wifi is excellent thow ,with more than 250Mbit/S.  Is my Unit
faulty or are there some more settings to do? // Stefan  Sweden

Hi Stefan,

Starting July 24, 2024, TIDAL will no longer support MQA or Sony Reality Audio formats. As a result you will no longer be able to stream music in these formats to Matrix Audio devices via TIDAL app or MA Remote App. Tracks and albums in MQA will be replaced by the highest quality FLAC versions available. While TIDAL aims to replace all existing MQA tracks with FLAC versions, there may be a few tracks for which they do not yet have replacements. TIDAL is working diligently to address this and ensure a seamless transition. Matrix Audio will update the UI in MA Remote App to adopt to the changes brought by TIDAL.

Thank you for your answer.   Yes i know Tidal ended their MQA support, but I just wonder how my other device is able to play 24bit192Khz and not the Element X2 pure.   The important thing is, if it can be solved, and when? I bought the X2 pure just for its ability to play high res. // Regards Stefan

New firmware and APP versions are expected to be released as early as next week that will address these issues.
