Why does Matrix Audio not use ES9039MPRO as the D/A chip of element X2 Pure?/ What are the differences between ES9039MPRO and ES9039PRO?
Both the ES9039PRO and ES9039MPRO are the latest flagship D/A chip from ESS Technology. Compared with ES9039PRO, the ES9039MPRO has a built-in MQA Renderer.
element X2 Pure is an MQA full decoder. Both MQA Core Decoder and MQA Renderer will be done before the audio data is sent into the D/A chip. So there's no need to use ES9039MPRO as a D/A chip on element X2 Pure.
