loud pops after last firmware and mcu update
#1
Hi, after updating my XSP MQA last week I am experiencing loud pops after disconnecting USB and starting songs. This happens while usb is still connected to source.

this didn't occur pre update.

it's this update: MCU v2.8 XMOS v3.30

This occurs when the dac goes to sleep when usb is unplugged and when my MacBook goes to sleep with usb plugged in.

anyone else experiencing this problem and / or have a solution?

Would it be possible to degrade the MCU and XMOS firmware, I'd rather have the wrong filters than those loud pops that are dangerous for my speakers

Dear Koen,
Sorry for the inconvenience, please stop to use the DAC temporaryly.
We will try to reproduce your issues and fix it .
Please use the XMOS and MCU firmwares by the following links:

Hi Koen,
If you get a chance to test it, please let me know if it works fine with the elder firmware.
Thank you.

hi Cao Wei,

yesterday I have downgraded the mcu firmware to 2.5 and left Xmos firmware at 3.30.
after unplugging usb there was a loud pop when the dac went into stand-by modus.

today or tomorrow I will downgrade the Xmos firmware and test again.

cheers

Hi Koen, Thanks for your info.
We also tested with our Mac Mini, but we did not reproduce the issue you met.
Looking forward to your further test results.
Thank you again.
