Hi! What is the latest version of the application compatible with Android 6? The main purpose is to play audio via TOSLINK from my cd player and files from the external HDD connected via usb. Do I need this App at all to play files from the HDD?

Hi Serge,
Unfortunately, the MA Remote app does not support OS under Android 8.0.
Yes the element i supports toslink input and playback music files from an external HDD. The music files would be transfered through the USB connection, but you still need to connect the element i to your network, so that you can browse the contents in the HDD and control the playback through the app.
