Matrix X-Sabre Pro MQA and X-SPDIF 2 - Phillip - 12-27-2021
I am using the Matrix X-Sabre Pro MQA with the Matrix X-SPDIF 2. Since MQA does not work over IIS, the 24 bit restriction should not apply of PCM. However, I am still seeing 24 bit displayed on the X-Sabre Pro MQA screen even though I have Roon set up to output to 32 bit.
I am using Roon to Raspberry Pi 4 running Ropieee to X-SPDIF 2 and then to X-Sabre Pro MQA.
Is the X-Sabre Pro MQA truncating the 32bit from Roon?
I have been up sampling to DSD for all before and did not notice this. Now I am using PCM and seeing the 24bit displayed on X-Sabre Pro MQA when using IIS.
Should X-Sabre Pro MQA show 32bit when using IIS from X-SPDIF 2 on PCM?

Hi Phillip,
The X-SABRE Pro MQA does not support 32 bit over USB port. But it do support 32 bit through IIS port.
We will test like your setup, and check if there's some mistakes on displaying the bit depth.
I will report here soon.
