I picked up a Matrix X-Sabre Pro MQA and it doesn't appear to want to go above 44.1kHz in Tidal exclusive mode. It will hit 384 kHz if I take it out of exclusive mode, but then the volume drops massively and it'll drop back down after every song. MQA support was the only reason I got this DAC, please help.

If you play from TIDAL PC app, please enable excludive mode and force volume. By the way, remember to install driver for Matrix device.

Obviously, I tried that first. Exclusive mode actually drops the rate from 384 kHz 24-bit to 44.1 kHz 16-bit on MQA songs - and for all songs. Force volume also gets grayed out in exclusive mode. Exclusive mode drops the sample rate, which is why I'm asking for help because that shouldn't be happening.

Do you play all songs at 384 kHz when it is not exclusive?

It shows 352.8 kHz with 24-bit on that song. On every other MAX MQA/FLAC song, it shows 44.1 kHz. Red Hot Chili Peppers, NF, Taylor Swift, David Guetta - doesn't seem to matter what I choose. I got one 30 Seconds to Mars FLAC song to play at PCM 96 kHz. For anything that is not MQA, the X-sabre shows PCM 44.1 kHz. Why does it only work on one song? Even my Chord Qutest was pushing 96 kHz on all of these songs.
