Matrix Element M + Remote

I have a Matrix Element M and the RM5 remote. I have tried and cannot program any buttons besides volume up, down, Power off and mute. I really need input to work as well. Changing the address code doesn't do anything. Any tips?

RM5 is designed to work with the mini-i 4 and mini-i Pro 4 models, while RM3 is the suitable choice for the Element M.
